Why Fit Body Boot Camp Is My New Way of Life

It Was Time To Change My Lifestyle

It was time to change my lifestyle. I wanted to lose weight, eat healthier, and find a workout plan that would be more than just a phase. That’s when I discovered the six-week challenge at Fit Body Boot Camp. Commit to the workout at least three times per week, follow the meal plan, weigh in every week, and the biggest loser wins. I was determined to lose weight and committed to the program, but I knew this wouldn’t be easy. It had only been months since my mastectomy. I had very little upper body strength. Plus, I was over 50! Was I crazy for doing this?

My Hardest Workout Ever!

I’d always had gym memberships, however, running at a moderate pace on the treadmill for thirty minutes or taking the occasional Zumba class rarely kept my interest, and I saw minimal results. Fit Body Boot Camp is the most challenging workout I’ve ever done (next to basic training when I joined the Army many years ago). I struggled with push-ups, and we did plenty of those. I battled with burpees, as well. There were plenty of planks and squats, enough for me to hate them. However, I didn’t allow my mind to tell me what my body couldn’t do. I pushed through it, every day. My body ached, every day.

The Hard Work Paid Off!

At the end of the six weeks, I stepped on the scale and smiled. I didn’t win the challenge, but I was happy with what I had accomplished. I was also able to pull out clothes from the back of my closet and wear them proudly. Seeing myself in this new form was visible proof that hard work pays off. I didn’t stop there. I signed up for a membership and kept going. Three to four times per week, it’s the toughest thirty-minutes of my day. I sometimes need a little extra motivation to go or look for excuses not to. However, I’ve seen the results of my hard work thus far. So I do.
